Doug is on board to oversee the creation of a companion trilogy to the television series which will expand upon select characters from “To Appomattox” while introducing historical figures and events not covered in the 8 hour offering. Doug’s team will include some of the most talented comic artists in the industry who will bring their unique styles and impressive storytelling abilities to this project.
As one of the groundbreaking video game creators in the mid-90’s, Doug TenNapel took the medium by storm with the landmark game Earthworm Jim, an odd array of quirky action, non-sequitor humor, and game play innovation. With ten books to his name TenNapel has created a body of work both visually engaging and heartfelt, featuring an iconoclastic mix of science fiction and philosophy. Although an artist at heart, Doug’s focus on character and story-structure is what separates him from the rest, even lecturing on the subject around the world. Hollywood has scooped up the rights to several of his graphic novels: Creature Tech, Tommysaurus Rex, Monster Zoo and Ghostopolis. Doug is the creator of the Nickelodeon show Catscratch and the internet serial Sockbaby. He's also found time to produce internet shorts for Japanese multiplatinum pop-star Shoko Nakagawa, and a puppet animated sequence for The Sarah Silverman Show! TenNapel has just finished his next graphic novel called Bad Island to be published through Scholastic’s Graphix imprint.

Lora Innes is the award-winning writer and artist of the historically-acclaimed graphic novel series The Dreamer (IDW Publishing), a story about a teenage girl who begins having vivid dreams about the American Revolutionary War. She has joined the project to write and draw one of the three books in the trilogy and is even talking about writing a second!
Innes also co-hosts a podcast series called Paper Wings, the show for visual storytellers.
